A Participatory Approach

People can often feel marginalised for various reasons including their race, religion, age or even where they live. At FFA we believe everyone should be provided with the chance to not only have their say, but to influence decisions that affect them and their community.

Thanks to funding from Sustainable Food Places, we have been able to host informal workshops and conversations with various groups to hear about all aspects food. If you know of a group who would like to contribute to our Food Plan by sharing challenges and opportunities then get in touch!

Peterhead Community Market Garden

We are supporting a collaboration with our partners at Aberdeenshire North Foodbank and Stella’s Voice to develop a growing space and market garden that will provide fresh fruit and vegetables for the local community. We aim to create opportunities for people to learn how to grow their own food whilst improving confidence, employability skills and the environment. The project has a strong focus on education, mental & physical wellbeing, skills development, and sustainability.

Mini plots are available for those who may be on an allotment waiting list, or are keen to start their own journey. All we ask is to help those around you!
